Ben Nevis summit

With so many famous mountain ranges nearby – you’re spoilt for choice. As well as challenging Corbetts on the doorstep, local guides offer Ben Nevis, Glencoe Mountain and Skye Cuillin trips as well as others futher afield. Guides can lead you safely in the Scottish mountains on classics like the Ben Nevis Mountain path, Tower Ridge on Ben Nevis, the Aonach Eagach and Curved Ridge in Glencoe, the Skye Cuillin Munros or a Skye Cuillin Ridge traverse; or set off on your own on the various trails leading from the cottage.

Glenuig Inn

A 2 minute drive or ten minute walk away back towards Fort William will have you pass Glenuig Village, with the village Hall, church, and lovely Glenuig Inn with fresh meals and hearty drinks served throughout the week. Contact the Inn also for kayak tours and rentals.

Whisky Tasting

What better place to base yourself with the Cottage views of the inner Hebrides and West Coast distilleries than Glenuig. Kick back with your feet up by the fire after a day (or days!) of tasting the many wonderful whiskies Scotland has to offer. Learn and enjoy about the ‘water of life’ from any number of highland distilleries including to name a few Glenfiddich, Glenlivet & Macallan – as well as local delights in the Ben Nevis, Talisker & Ardnamurchan distilleries.
